About Dr. Rachel Lewin

Dr. Lewin is originally from Huntingdon Valley, PA. She attended Lower Moreland High School, where she met her husband Corey. Dr. Lewin then went on to attend the University of Pittsburgh for her undergraduate degree in Physical & Cultural Anthropology with minors in both Chemistry and Studio Arts. After graduating from Pitt, she received her dental education at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Following graduation she, Corey, and their goldendoodle August relocated to Nashville, TN to escape the Midwest winters. There, Dr. Lewin joined a group practice to enable her to learn CEREC technology, which allows dentists to prepare and deliver crowns, veneers, and bridges in a single patient visit. After spending a year and a half living, working, and exploring beautiful Tennessee, the trio decided to return home to the Philadelphia area to begin the next chapters of their lives.

She quickly became involved with the local dental society, Montgomery Bucks (MBDS) and soon became the Editor for the Bulletin publication there. She is also the Chair for the Ethics and Law Enforcement Committee within MBDS, and has served as a Director to the Second District Dental Society. Over the past three years, she has become increasingly more involved with the local, state, and national levels of organized dentistry, having been appointed to the Pennsylvania Dental Association’s (PDA) Dental Benefits Committee, and the Pennsylvania Academy of General Dentistry (PAGD) New Dentist Committee. This past spring, Dr. Lewin was elected by her fellow Pennsylvania dentists to help represent the state at the national level as a Pennsylvania Delegate to the ADA’s annual House of Delegates meeting. Most recently, she was appointed to the American Dental Association (ADA) Council on Communications, where she will serve a four-year term and travel to ADA Headquarters in Chicago to help shape national policy.

Dr. Lewin practices all aspects of General Dentistry. She is an active member of several dental organizations, and continues working towards clinical and professional excellence as well as her Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) by diligently pursuing continuing dental education in all facets of the dental world. Dr. Lewin became a registered Invisalign Provider to help her patients wanting to straighten their teeth in a safe, unobtrusive way. She particularly enjoys redesigning smiles with comprehensive rehabilitations, developing herself and her dental support team in order to provide a comprehensive oral healthcare experience, and she hopes to be able to begin offering CAD/CAM and CEREC technology to her patients again at some point in the future.

In her free time she enjoys gardening, working out, sewing & historical costuming, crocheting, and horseback riding. She continues to work with August, who is a trained Service Dog, and who you may one day meet in the office if interest is sufficient! She and her husband also enjoy hiking, kayaking, and paddleboarding with August when the weather is cooperative, and they all enjoy cooking together.
